So Dirt has done some digging and begging to Cane Creek to get the 1 1/8-inch angle set moved to production. Is this something you would want to see? It IS possible, but Cane Creek hasn't felt a need to bring it to production

No, in that manufacturers shouldn't look upon it as an excuse to continue making frames with non-reinforced 1-1/8" head tubes.
I understand from reading Dave Turner's explanation regarding Turner's recent switch to a larger diameter HT that it costs money to make the transition. But still, moving away from 1-1/8" HT's is probably one of the better changes to mountain bikes (as a whole) we've seen in a long time. And having said that, we should do everything to continue pushing for that change.
My two.5 cents.

I have described the process and product here:
http://www.ofanaim.net/has.html
I am an engineer, and in my free time, I am designing parts for
improving bicycle performance.
I was surprised to see how many people were interested in the product. Currently the product is not cheap as the demand is not high and this is a taylor made product.
However, if even half the people who showed interest would order one, that would change the picture completely!
