Vital RAW

The first DH mountain bike race of the 2020 Downhill Southeast season kicked off at Windrock Bike Park near Oliver Springs, Tennessee. Racers from all over the U.S. showed up to challenge the clock and each other! Frida Ronning and Dakotah Norton took home Pro victories.

ooh man it is so great to see some racing again! Looking forward to some local races in Norway at the end of the summer! I am fired up!

Nah...don't guess so.
We had a massive UHaul box van full of riders in Johnson City once that died and went steamrolling backwards for probably only a few feet, but seemed like a long time. It rolled back into a bank/ditch and the better half of 30 riders went squirting out the back onto the ground. We all pushed up for our runs for the rest of the day.

I once personally saved Marla Streb from falling off the back of a shuttle truck at Bass Lake in California.

DH shuttles are proof of how rad our sport is. Risk life and limb in the jankiest ways imaginable just to get a run in. hah

just got word from the filmer. when asked about the truck, the response was "some guy named butch parked it."

So there were two trucks head on, on a slightly steep hill but were both parked. The one higher on the hill had a flat tire and there was a rock pulling it from rolling down the hill along with it being in gear. The rock was in front of the deflated tire so they had to turn on the ignition to use their air pump but when they inflated the tire it rolled over the rock and pops into neutral and had a 15 foot Headstart and smashed into the car below it. Thankfully, No one was hurt but now they have to fix one of their really expensive shuttles and hand built a very expensive bike racks.
