Remember seeing Duncan at a race @ Sears Point raceway back in 2004ish... red jersey... yeah, he was fast & class. Was wondering about something you said Duncan and wondering if you can clarify a bit because you stopped mid-thought. You described what seemed like a pretty special upbringing... grew up on an estate (?), 1.5 mile from a private beach, etc. Then you said it's a lifestyle, not privilege... and that we all make choices. Mind clarifying that?

So does this replace the A1 as an all-mountain/enduro helmet or it's more of an XC orientated helmet? I can't understand the segmentation of this product compared to the A1??

Best mtb movie since Earthed 1. Thank god somebody understood that rad riders having fun on their bikes warrants a film more than an array of freeriders filmed with expensive slo mo cams.

I see your point. It's a definite evolution of an old standard that came to be in an era of non-standardized designs and suspension setups. I can't help myself but to think that, at the moment, it's a clear benefit for SRAM, they obviously did their homework regarding the actual tech that could be changed and improved in a shock, but what about the other suspension manufacturers? I had some discussions yesterday with people working these other manufacturers and they said it's logical and coherent evolution, but can't see a definite change on the actual product they put out there...

Guys, that's a great article, thanks! But it left me wondering if it's a solution to a problem that didn't really exist??? I'm all for better and improved tech, but the actual system didn't pose that big of a problem as it is now IMHO. I'm no suspension wizard or bike manufacturer though...

Well I'm sure you have your own reasons, and good ones also, but the DHF is the single best mountain bike tire produced to date. Some may come close, but it's still the king. And I'd go as far as to say your statement is about as misleading as there is about the DHF: the DHF is really good in about every surfaces, except really hardpacked trails and a full on gong show of mud.
