The fact that she had a dislocated elbow and thumb, she was able to a) finish and b) not finish DFL is a feat in itself. Even if she did DFL, she won just by finishing. As much pain as she endured this weekend, it's nothing in comparison to the battle her wife is having with cancer. She wanted to see Missy race a WC race and she got it. Props!!

GREAT! To see the Missile back on A DH Bike,
Hated seeing her last few years racing marred with I injuries and KO's.
The Original Outlaw DH'er of the new era....
Hope she gets on the box this weekend!

The Argentine woman that ran before her hit the ground hard on one of the road gaps. The course Marshall on scene put out red flag stopping missy, who was on course as the next racer but also and the last woman in qualifying. Fortunately, the argentinian racer was able to continue and finished her run about 55 seconds off the lead. However, Missy had already been directed off course and was told to get to the top ASAP for restart. Unfortunately the men's qualies were scheduled very tight and commenced while she was on the way back up the mountain (no convenient lift spot in the middle of course). Therefore , she had to wait for all 135 men to finish their qualies before she could make her run. Must have been pretty exhausting waiting up there for 2 hours.

Just saw that as well. Sucks so bad. Hopefully she didn't mess herself up but it would take a lot for her to DNF. I really wanted to see what kind of time she could put up on a cleanish run.

Fingers crossed. I don't see her DNFing unless she is really hurt. Which doesn't sound the case.

Check out #Windham on Twitter. RedBull reporting she is getting a re-run after the men's as of 1 minute ago. Hope the course isn't too bombed out after 160 men's quali attempts.

8th at the speed trap! Wondering if she was pedal to the metal the whole way or if she just tried to keep it upright knowing that she only needed to beat one time to get in the top 20. Sure hope RedBull covers her run

Missy. Still the most fun and real personality in DH. She was the most kick ass fun back in the day and still is!! Welcome back !!!!!! An fuckit curse it out !!!


If she stays on the bike, she'll be fast. I guarantee she will jump as big as any of the current girls Casey included (it's gonna be a riot)

I'm still a little confused...is she actually racing? she says she's only ridden a dh bike like 2x per year....hard to see how that would be enough...though windham is short. still though...pulling for her!

Ehh, I'd say 35 some seconds off the pace is absolutely getting smoked in a 3 minute race Wink But still psyched she's out there.

Yeah... I dunno. It's a bit like seeing Palmer back. They were so fucking cool back then, but trying to act like the last 10-15 years never happened just seems awkward to me. Maybe I just got old....
