I love ovals and installed it immediately on my Range as well. Then I put the bike on a stand and spun the cranks and noticed excessive derailleur movement. My other bikes moved Mabe 1-2mm and barely caused any resistance but on this bike it was terrible. Took it off and holy crap it’s like taking 20lbs off the weight of the bike

Get rid of the oval chainring unless you like to add 10% more effort on the climbs to get a harder workout. On this bike, every revolution with an oval causes the derailleur arm to move 10mm fore and aft. Moving a derailleur for and aft takes about 10lbs of force. Your adding this force to your legs every revolution. Take it off and shave 1-2 minutes off a 10 minute climb.

Awesome. I love that you're running a 28 tooth chainring. High pivot lets you run any size chainring you want. Have you considered going for a smaller and lighter cassette? I don't think you need a 52 out back with a 28 up front.

Preface, didn't read the thread. Yet. I'm supposed to be working. Preface part2, I'm triple vaccinated (2 rounds of AZ initially, in May and June) and I ran out to get a Pfizer booster as soon as it was possible in Slovenia (vector vaccines enabled an only 2 month period before the booster could be applied), so I got the third shot in early novembre. I've recently had a listen to a Peter Attia podcast about the state of Omicron: https://peterattiamd.com/covid-19-current-state-omicron/ And I'm currently listening to the Barri Weiss podcast (one of the guests is the same in both cases)...

Pisgah - congrats on drinking the Kill-Aid. Our data, you know, at our facilities where we see our patients does not at all correlate with the narrative that you are reading. So I tested this and the frame doesn't have much throw past the static top out. Norco only seems to make room for the axle to go deeper. I think the only way to accomplish this is different rear dropouts with a high axle location (meaning further down) to accommodate a 27.5 wheel. I'm thinking of making some of these also.

You should make a Longer link that pushes the rear wheel down so you can run it as a mullet. Perhaps 5-6mm longer than the stock link

2 Questions. Did you need the Chainring bash guard? Your other photos did not have this. Also, where did you get the shortened linkage? Did you need a different length/stroke shock?

145lb rider in an area with not a lot of sharp rocks. 1800 miles and 20+ park days on my Previous 2020 Specialized Enduro without a single puncture. Of course I’ll run a heavier casing on Bike trips and riskier areas
