The Madonna V3 you can already +-5mm RC with the different axle kits. So you can run a 455 RC on the size Large with a different axle (instead of the standard 450), you'd only need the. XL rear triangle to run a 460 RC. V3 Large with 455 RC gives you a 1.83 ratio which I would say is pretty balanced for a bike like that. Correct, I was 3 years old in 1998 😅 If the concept you are referring to is ‘lightweight full face helmet,’ wasn’t the Switchblade from its inception the first removable chin bar full face helmet? The main difference with what Fox did in 2017 was create a full face helmet that was aimed at trail/enduro riding and offered enough breathability to wear climbing without needing to remove the chin bar. I love my Switchblade, but in comparison with the Proframe RS, it’s much warmer with/without the chin bar climbing and it requires me to ride with a pack to carry...

Carbon cranks have a bit of a spotty track record, at times setting the internet on fire with horror stories and pictures of snapped crankarms. Fair point. The Era does quite a good job here, about 10mm of material between the pedal spindle and the edge. Now, the boots add a couple of mms to that, so that has to be taken into account with a carbon crank. On the fleet right now I have some alloy cranks, Truvativ Stylos stick out about 10 mm, Hope Crank Evo a little bit less (about 8mm), and some new NSB cranks just turned up, they are about 8 mm too. Not huge differences, but there you go. What's the most clearance you've found?

Yeah, that’s what I noticed too. Awesome for tall riders like me (but wish they made another bigger size). I wonder how that rides for the small size though.

The one thing that I’d always like to know which cranks, is how much arm material sticks out below the pedal spindle holes. Unfortunately many cranks, especially carbon ones, they just drill the crank holes further up the arms. Since I, and many others, pick short(er) crank arms for ground clearance, this really matters. The bottom of my crank arms is quite scuffed as a testament to this.

It’s nice to see they rearranged the Nobby Nic thread. On the outgoing model, in the wider sizes(2.6 and 2.8), the cornering knobs were shifted so far inboard on every other knob, that they became intermediate knobs, leaving huge gaps in the core ring knobs. Not very confidence inspiring,

Ultra soft Mary in Super Trail casing, please! Lots of us like to pedal a lot and live in places where it rains. Same for you, Maxxis. There's a lack of gooey front tire options that aren't pushing 1200g.

Yes! Why bikes are still coming with ~31mm seat tubes is a mystery to me. Every year, seat tubes get shorter and posts longer, so a beefier I sat post would be really useful. Handlebars got bigger, even though the gains are questionable. Hubs got wider, even though it makes compatibly a pain. Yet a simple seat tube, which could be skimmed down to fit older narrower droppers has to remain stuck in the past...
