Do you ever wish you could communicate as effectively and as seamlessly about suspension as Loris Vergier and Jordi Cortez? Well now you can finally learn the secret language of the pros as the Loris Vergier Soundboard becomes available to the greater public. Suspension packing down? That's probably a "Duusvduusvduusv" event. Skipping off the top and harsh? "Cah cah cah" or "Cahcahcahcahcah", and you've made yourself clear!

Without the sport would die??? That‘s bullshit Red Bull came when Downhill was big on Freecaster, Red Bull pays more money, that‘s all. With a lot of bad decisions in the past! Limited Content, one hour brake after the woman’s finals...no Red Bull isn‘t what the sport need. They‘re bring a lot good things of course, but not just good

Playfulness is an imprecise blanket cliche that gets used so often it means almost nothing anymore. Reminds me of "Climbs surprisingly well for a [xxx]mm travel bike." The general MTB public has been coached to believe that a short chainstay = "playful" through sheer repetition by product reviewers. That might mean the bike "manuals and kicks off of small jumps really well," or it could just mean "It doesn't feel like a boat." My suspicion is that lots of different, unrelated qualities might result in someone using this word. A shorter wheelbase would make a bike more responsive to weight...

2/8/2019 6:09am Great to see this thread back in action! I would like to throw something else into it. Wow does the option of a non telescopic fork change this discussion? A 29" linkage fork with, lets say 60mm offset but 40mm OS when in SAG and 28mm OS at 70% of its travel (max.163mm) I will try it (hopefully this year)...

1/26/2017 12:37pm I totally agree. I finally built my custom bike/frame that, as I think, is "in proportion" It´s at the more extreme end of geometry, but balanced, and it feels great. It needed some time to completely find it´s sweetspot. I went through travel adjustments by the fork (it´s a hardtail),rotated and lengthened the bars, switched stems, etc. I will try...

7/28/2016 1:08am And what do you guys think about chainstay length and body position on a hardtail. I mean, you ride a unsuspended bike differently, right? More laid-back, less aggressive? Would love to hear some thoughts about it.
