Ya who's buying that, seems like the top end YT compares more with Intense Tazer & Specialized Kenevo Expert. Just would expect better cost from YT on these, the cost is similar to it's direct competitors.

He left for Intense because they had the Tazer ebike. Now that YT also has an ebike, he'll probably be back on YT next year

could you imagine having to ship back that fat bastard ebike when your motor starts acting up? I agree warranty is always a heavy consideration when buying direct. to be fair it looks like they're using the same (proven) motor that others are. Hopefully the battery won't catch the carbon frame on fire like the occasional Tesla! "I can't ride tomorrow guys, my ebike melted."

Ya & with the difficulty of YT parts / warranty claims. Not sure I'd buy a first generation carbon e-bike from YT when Specialized is in the same price range with years in the ebike market.

Surprised at the pricing. You can get the specialized Kenevo for the same price at a shop. E bikes = one of the horsemen of the apocalypse for mountain biking

It's interesting to see YT staying in world cup DH after all with this new program. But in my opinion, they should have done this while still running a top level team that can fight for wins. This just seems like an inexpensive way for them to stay relevant in racing. Hope they have a good future with this & stay successful in the industry.

why would he know what he is talking about when cross branding? He didnt cross brand anything at alta. He worked at a motorcycle company that sold and marketed motorcycles with new motors. That isnt cross branding. And they didnt have much of a brand presence besides racing RBSR and Erzbeg anyways
