3/3/2016 10:26am I've got a couple. My first time at Whistler, the two berms after the step down after the A-line drop. They are lined with bricks, and high speed. I remember the first time I was able to carry enough speed to rip the first berm and jump into the next. You essentially change body direction in the air. Pretty cool...

the problem with this is the industry keeps throwing a wrench into the upgrade-itis sequence with new standards all the time: 20mm to 15mm front axles, 135 to 142 to 146 rear axles, 650b wheels (the scourge of the industry, and probably the sole reason I won't be looking at riding a high-end bike for another 10 years at least), 1.5 headtubes, tapered head tubes, pressfit bottom brackets... yada yada yada.... the list goes on, and I'm preaching to the choir I'm sure.

I've been watching the World Cup since the first year Freecaster was broadcasting it. And I've always found drunk Warner to be a detriment to the sport. As much as I found some of his schtick funny, the first time I left the volume on in the house, my girlfriend told me to shut that sh!t off, it was too obnoxious. To this day I can't get her to sit and watch a race with me, and her first experience has tainted her view of the sport. Same goes with my kids. They're 4 and 2 now. There's no way...

I love drunken Warner as much as the next guy, but polishing up his act a bit falls in line with Redbull raising the production value of the whole series. They're looking to expand beyond the target audience, and if that means reigning in Rob a bit in the name of more exposure then I'm in full support.

I have a Spank (Trail 295) on now, but only for two rides, though on very rocky terrain. They're lighter, have the bead bite, and the alloy is supposedly stronger (though my guess is that it's marginal), and...
