Impressive bike, great review...most likely my first option when my son will be old enough for the 24'' version. These new TRA wheels are looking very good for OE stuff, first time I see an alloy rim with sidewalls that thick (5mm).

That Yamaha motor contract with Giant is lowkey one of the largest contract in the industry, I would be very surprised if Yamaha were to drop Giant. Their eMTBs were outdated and not competitive at all, smart decision to get rid of that division. Being forced to move their inventory at 60% off is all you need to know about...

I think it's very unlikely that the discounting will stop any time soon. There's going to be a hangover to this as well with people delaying purchasing a new bike at full pop because of years of deep discounts. Unless you're buying an e-bike with a significantly better motor or battery, the differences between each successive generation of a mountain bike is narrower and narrower. Take the newest Hightower or Sentinel as examples: they're both great bikes, but if you own the previous generation and it's not entirely clapped out, what's the incentive to upgrade at MSRP? It's going to...

Interesting read by Deviate and I understand they wish for discounts to stop as soon as 2025, but is that even possible ? I get it that other premium brands like Santa Cruz and Forbidden are doing massive sales since 2 years are hurting them, but is this going to stop into 2025 really ? The used market is flooded...

At 70% travel there is a singularity which allows your spring force to simultaneously be three different values. Some hypothesize that if you can push past 70% travel you will bridge spacetime and land in a parallel universe.

In my area MX shops started selling eMTBs during Covid and I guess it was working out at some level considering the very high demand. All my local MX shops selling ebikes are now stuck with them, some of the GasGas bikes are up to 60% off still not moving that much and the new MXC/ECC models are already on...

24k bikes sold with only 47% sold in NA, this explains why no one are seeing them. Giant sold 6.6 million bikes worldwide in 2017 just to give you an idea.

Heckler SL is only 1 years old, I don't think SC are going to refresh it that soon ? Santa Cruz really need to release a new Bullit with the 800wh, I would bet they're working on that right now.

They'd better be able to pack good value into the builds, they paid for 4/5ths of the tooling and all the R&D years ago. This bike has been available since Fall 2019, yes, it remains excellent, no, consumers should not be paying a premium for it. Edit: the fact that the value of the Comp is actually pretty good is indeed surprising.

That would be the 2025 Instinct SL according to another forum, is someone able to confirm if that's really the case ? Looks like it's just a smaller battery & retuned motor in the existing full power Instinct frame, nothing too exciting.

UDH Enduro is up on their website since this morning and I'm surprised that Specialized packed a very good value in the two builds & S-Works frameset. Even the entry level Comp build is solid, just need to slap a Charger 3.1 damper in the ZEB Select and you're all set.

It's not the first time the Rail is getting some negative feedback for weird sizing/geo. The L is more XL and their XL is XXL so you're right that they're not offering any size large...not sure how they can mess that up in 2024. Santa Cruz Vala sizing is much better as a reference. Anyway, what kind of product launch...

Its going to be the Sight with the Bosch CX motor. The current Sight/Range ebikes were made in very small quantities because of the weight issues, should be out of stock soon.

No this looks like a full power Bosch Gen 5 bike as per Norco's post on IG, but it is still strange as they just released a Sight/Range VLT...maybe they're moving away from 60lbs carbon eMTBs ? Another angle of the new SC, I believe you can see a pivot, but still not fully clear.

A few forums already have informations on the bike since last week. Bike will be 4 bar linkage, influencers are flying over to Santa Cruz for the media day that is happening either today or tomorrow. Bosch Gen 5 should be releasing in the next few days with 600wh & 800wh battery options, new eMTBs should be flooding right after...
