That pretty much explains why Rampage and Crankworx (the freeride portion) aren't as exciting to watch as DH or even XC where the riders decide where they place, not "judges" who "have to leave room" for scoring.

I very seldom comment on forums or respond to reviews but in this case I'm compelled. Five Ten has NOT addressed the longevity issue. My freerider pros lasted ten months of riding twice a week on a trail bike before the soles were completely torn apart with big holes from the pedal pins. The uppers have lasted well. Replaced then with 2FO 2.0's and the front of the sole peeled off after ONE ride as they aren't stitched either. Took them back for a refund. Three months on the Shimano GR7's and they're holding up quite well. I'm not hard...
