Not liking those videos, slideshow are much more convenient to watch when you are stuck at the office. And when I get my freedom back I'd rather spend the time riding than looking at a screen.

It's an enormous waste of time and a great way to get tired before your race. There are races where walking the tracks could mean 12 miles of hiking before your race, after getting off a plane from the other side of the planet. We have bikes. We can ride the tracks.

I got the privilege to hang out beside Frank at a Whiteface 5k race around 2007ish. I borrowed some of his tools and chatted with him as we worked on our bikes the night before the race. An incredible human.

Pretty soon we will just have lift assisted e-bike multistage downhill racing. The association that fun can only be had Without human powered transfers is the wrong direction for the sport. Last year I race cross country, enduro, downhill and even a 12hr and able to have fun, even with all that pedaling. The least fun was the multistage stage downhill race that was disguised as an "enduro".

Why is mountain biking so afraid of actually requiring endurance or even pedaling ( Lift assistance for 350ft vert)? Personally I relish having to factor my fitness for timed stages when I just climbed 1000ft.

Just some random thoughts to highlight that helmet are half (or less) safety and half fashion. I ride the same trails with my DH bike and my trail bike. I wear half lid on trail bike and full face on DH. Hell, I don't even wear a helmet when I'm riding around the neighborhood. The safest is probably to be on the DH bike but I feel compelled to wear the GEARZZZ.. If I wear a half lid on dh bike or full face on a trail bike it doesn't feel right. Racing Enduro (and climbing) with a full face...

Is it that ambiguous? The first two sentences lay it out fairly specifically in my opinion. You can be tested at any time during any National Federation sanctioned EWS event. The specifics of the testing/regulations are those of the local anti-doping authority. Are there a lot of anti-doping authorities that are using something other than the WADA code? Wouldn't/shouldn't the WADA code be at least everyone's default as to how they will be tested - particularly if you've been in the WADAtesting pool previously? An obligation for a professional to double-check that the anti-doping authority at their events that year...

Yeah man, the universe isn't even real bro. Did you know we're all just made of stars? Far out! Nothing matters dude! Look, the rules and limits are clear. If you're not clear on that, that's on you. These athletes voluntarily participate in a sport governed with rules and a part of that is PED testing. It's nice that they weren't caught with CERA or popped for anabolics, but in this case the testing actually (really!) is binary: They both failed a drug test. You can call it a grey area, but then when they're sanctioned will they "sort of"...
