this is their press release, so it is indeed marketing. the large amflow PX we tested was 46.8lbs and this is basically a clone of that, so shedding a pound doesn't seem impossible.

7/11/2026 7:54pm I don’t think anything’s changed tbh, Finn took most of last year off to properly recover and spent the whole winter riding and on good health, Jordan having Nico there as a coach is obviously going to help. If anything if Loic wasn’t injured it would mean just more Specialized team riders in the top 5
