Hey guys! New to the forum but not new to MTB. I used to have a Schwinn sweet spot back in 2000. Haven't ridden in years and have gotten heavier than I used to be. I picked up a very very cherry sv2000 and want to get back into riding. It'll be road only till I drop some weight. Speaking of. I'd like to switch the rear shock to accommodate my 275 ass. I'd like to switch the air oil shock for a coil spring shock. If any of the tech savvy guys read this I'd welcome some good suggestions...

I am going to totally agree that this bike is worth it. No where was budget mentioned so saving to invest in a newer bike does not seem to be the issue. I also just bought one of these. I am 180 so the stock shock worked for me. I swapped it to a 1x drivetrain and do exactly what you described. I ride it around as a commuter and on the many gravel paths around my house. Awesome for Nukeproof to get started with a team that can help them hit the ground running, who were all climbing the ranks through last season. I do really think it would be amazing for Hill to show up at hardline on a Nukeproof DH bike.
