Mountain biking since 1996 when I bought one to commute to work in London and started seeking out the interesting ways home.

First 'proper' bike (GT Zaskar with XT and Judy XCs) bought with student loan in 1997

Started reading Dirt magazine, riding street and jumps - bought one of the first Orange MsIsles from the bike shop I was 'working' at in 1998

meh, you know what you're getting with Profile, and the cranks have changed a lot in ten years or so since the 3 piece. They're a lot easier to set up now, so harder to make a mistake - but just as bombproof. People expect less weight for more strength these days though. The hubs are still lush though, and I covet a set of Gas Pedals.

The audio wasn't that bad... tho I have trouble understanding thick Geordie accents and I'm from the UK Gotta say - the team videos have really come into their own this year. Seems to be a real help in relaxing the riders on camera to have videographers with them year-round that they feel comfortable talking to, instead of being tetchy at repeating the same thing for the 10th time to another dude with another camera in your face. Good call - as a Brit getting into mountain biking in the late nineties - this video was a massive influence on me for some even more wayback history, check out Dirt (not the magazine) featuring an even younger Rob Warner, and UK downhill mountain biking's first star - Jason McRoy Clip from 1994 ...still missed

It's exciting to watch, for sure. Gwin reminds me of Nico in terms of his 'alien'-like consistency and precision riding.
