hey Vital/Nick Zuzelski, thanks for taking the time to ride the EC70 Trail wheels. Your readers undoubtedly appreciate that you pushed these wheels to their breaking point. We like that about Vital, that you're not just giving it a parking lot test. We just want to give our two-cents: These wheels are designed for "trail" riding. We intended the lack of 20mm axle to be a limiter. For riders with 20mm forks and more "All Mountain or freeride" bikes, we'd encourage them to ride the Haven Carbon or Havoc wheels. Interesting to note the last 2 carbon wheelsets reviews I've seen the reviewers have managed to crack the wheels and then very quickly say, "the aluminum rims would have cracked as well." Certainly makes me wonder. Carbon wheels?

Like acuracing, I have a great set of Revelations with a 20mm axle on my trail bike. Limiting these wheels to 15mm is crazy. In fact, the whole 15mm thing is crazy.

I mean 1800$ is really pushing it for a wheelset destined to be trashed on rocks and roots. It's not like that gucci pair of Zipps you only take out on TT race day. I truly think this carbon wheelset thing is getting out of hand price wise. Is there a SIGNIFICANT amount of performance gain between a set of those wheels vs a set of hope pro 2s on stan flows?? A perfomance gain worth almost 1200$ in difference. I just can't wrap my head around that.

I've never seen XC eliminator so that photo confuses me. Are the guys standing in the gates the boyfriends of the ripped spandex dudes? Did they win a facebook contest to hold the cheeks of a pro racer while he trackstands waiting for the lights? Please explain.
