Great test! It would have been cool to also have a rear wheel with an Onyx Hub in the test. I've been mostly riding Onyx hubs on my bikes for the last 7 years. When I first started riding them I would tell my friends "I swear my suspension feels better." They always attributed it to the silence of Hub, but maybe it had more to do with the lack of pawls...

Honest question. I've seen quite a few small batch Steel FS frames that mount the water bottle on the underside of the top tube. There looks to be ample room above the shock to put water bottle mounts in the more "traditional" location. I see that the cables run there, couldn't they (starling and other frame companies) make some sort of "stand off" that would allow the mounting of a water bottle in the traditional location and also allow the cables to run down the top of the downtube?

I'm a sucker for new tech and have been riding for 25+ years so most of my bikes have either top-tier parts or one step down. 5/17/2024 8:26am He said somewhere that’s it’s not a full blown DH frame. It’s a “super enduro” frame that can be built with single or dual crown forks. It has bottle mounts and routing for a dropper.
