Anyone know if the Tallboy 6 could run a coil shock? It looks like a few SC riders have it built up with Super Deluxe flight attendant, so it appears it has the clearance for a shock with a piggy back. They said this new frame is less progressive, so I’m not sure if it would jive with a coil...
I remember back in the RideMonkey days (dating myself), there was an Evil Undead thread full of guys that loved the bikes but were having QC/warranty issues. Todd Seplavy (Ska Todd) chimed in and was very candid about that Shipment of Revolt frames. He said when they opened the shipping container, everything looked great. But as they pulled the frames...
While I’ll never own one, I have to give credit to specialized for creating this. It’s giving me nostalgia vibes from the late 90’s/early 00’s when there was a lot of weird and wacky experimentation in DH. The fact that after 3+ years of development, this is an actual production frame (regardless of cost) is pretty cool.
While I agree that they seem "off." I'm sure the Brembo Branding/marketing department wanted these brakes to mimic what they have in the motosports world. In the same way, you can see the bright red Brembo brakes from 100 feet away on a sports car; they probably wanted the same impact with these brakes.

matmattmatthew Added a comment about press release HotBars Introduces the World’s First Heated Bicycle Handlebar

This product is triggering for me. Years ago, the one and only thing I ever funded on kickstarter was heated handlebar inserts that can be removed and recharged. The guy had a slick video and prototype. I ponied up the $100 dollars for an early adopter and waited. The guy strung us along for months and eventually stopped returning emails and ghosted us on kickstarter. That was the 1st and last time I ever used kickstarter.

This is what I use. I don’t keep it filled, I keep it collapsed then fill it from a stream/river then transfer the filtered water into my bottle then collapse it back down and stash it away. I’ve done 5-6 hour rides with no pack, just refill my water bottle 2-3 times over the ride. Works great for me.
