I totally agree. I do give props to the flyer though. He's got really good skills. Hopefully, with enough practice I will be just as good with my new Phantom 4.

I've been riding the Easton Haven for almost 2 months now. So far I love it. I only wish the push lever wasn't so slippery. There are times when my thumb would slip when my hands get a little sweaty. I will eventually get the Raceface shifter style lever. I could buy grip tape but I really don't wanna buy a whole roll of grip tape just to use a small piece. Thanks VitalMTB for coming out with this review!

I stand corrected. Yes, you're right their intentions were not to reinvent the wheel but to make a bike standardless. Also choosing a suspension that in their minds work best. As for the geometry being modern that's a big plus as well. So in light of your reply to mine I retract what I said. This bike is truly a one of a kind~ I "hope" it makes it to production

I think you miss the point of their effort. It wasn't to reinvent the bike. It was to responsibly source a bike that has the capacity to run any and all standards available, allow for future innovations to mesh with the bike design. The huge news is that they sourced virtually everything from scratch themselves and didn't have to hemorrhage money and get still hit elite quality standards on pretty much the first run at carbon. They cut out ridiculous amounts of time and money being able to make the molds in house. Are you familiar with the super high...

11 years in the making and this is what they bring? That's disappointing. It's like James Cameron said about "Avatar" it was 19 years in the making. Visually stunning movie but regurgitated story line and absolutely no originality. Sad.

This is a very very hard thing to measure. Unless one bike has some huge mechanical advantage than the other. Small frame geometry adjustments, a bit lighter and newer components like brakes and shifters won't do much to really increase one's speed. Maybe a fraction which is important when it comes to pro elite athletes during racing.

I can see this mainly for people who aren't as hard core into mountain biking as a lot of us here are. Although, maybe a few hard core MTBer's may get this but I doubt it will catch on. I think it will be great for commuters and people who just like to cruise and hate hand pumping their flat...

Yeah, I like what you guys are doing and I want to see more! haha If people are going to spend a lot of $$$ on a bike they want to see the bike in action. Not just some fancy edited video or a group of guys discussing it. To see a damn good rider actually testing the bike to it's limit gives me a whole lot more respect for the person who's reviewing the bike/product. Also it's just way WAY more entertaining to watch. Keep up the great job!

How come no other bike mag or website has video's like this? This was awesome however, I would love it if they made videos of all the bikes like this. Add some commentary etc. would be perfect. A lot of work I know but would be a dream come true though.
