Steve Wentz cleans incredibly technical Upper Waterfall section on South Mountain near Phoenix, AZ. He does it aboard the 2016 Jamis Defcon 1 during Vital MTB Test Sessions where we tested 17 new trail bikes.

    That upper part is tough, but the section just below it is the one that always gets me. Great job though!

    Eaish! Spent 30+ min's trying to clean that section before....left bloodied, beaten and totally gassed. #respect.

    and this is how you test a mountain bike to see how well it climbs! I can't wait to read all the reviews once they're finished testing out all the bikes~

    Props to the riders...they're unbelievably skilled and in shape!

    Steve Wentz is one of the coolest, nicest and most skilled riders to ever show up at the Freedom 40. He walked up our technical shore/jump trail eyeing all of the sections and then rode the whole thing first time. It took me quite a few more and I built the damn thing. Smiles the whole way.

    National trail is one of the few trails I actually enjoyed climbing. So many fun challenging sections, up and down, on that trail.

    That is unreal. Apparently my tough climbs are now considered fire roads.
