SC has a lifetime warranty... SC isn't cheap but neither is Spec or Trek that you mention - top of the line bikes are $11K.... SC is a premium brand just like Spec, Trek... Ya & with the difficulty of YT parts / warranty claims. Not sure I'd buy a first generation carbon e-bike from YT when Specialized is in the same price range with years in the ebike market.

could you imagine having to ship back that fat bastard ebike when your motor starts acting up? I agree warranty is always a heavy consideration when buying direct. to be fair it looks like they're using the same (proven) motor that others are. Hopefully the battery won't catch the carbon frame on fire like the occasional Tesla! "I can't ride tomorrow guys, my ebike melted."
