I raced one of these in '96 in the NORBA series and many local CO races. There were not a lot of these Specialized bikes around, I don't think that many were made and sold. Steel front triangle, alum seat and chain stays. This bike was tough and held up to a ton of abuse. These were early days of DH racing. It was one of the few early full suspension bikes you could just buy on the bike shop floor and all I could afford at the time for $2k as a lightly used bike from University Bikes in...

Ah, I used to have the stumpjumper version of this built similarly. Beautiful build. The original quiver killer. I raced XC, slalom, and DH on it a few times.

Oh yeah, this isn’t a Dh bike by any means. Go watch Dirt MBUK MTB Movie, you’ll see it was more of a jib bike for Jason. It’s a 15.5” frame - he wanted it more like a bmx / jib bike to mess around on. But the larger frames were use 95% of the time for cross country.
