harwox Added a reply to 2023 TEAM RUMORS
2/20/2023 1:39am Completely unrelated to anything that Discovery are doing. This was the national federation / national broadcaster operating on what I imagine was a very tight budget. As a punter it was good to be able to watch rather than just see things after the fact on social media but it is completely removed from WC coverage

harwox Added a reply to Ideal WC season?
12/6/2020 10:04pm the Worlds camera set up was the most involved out of the 3 events that were up there. Not a RB director, but effectively the same camera plan with a few additional unmanned cameras.

3/16/2020 4:25pm Is anyone else concerned that if the racing season is pushed back into November that we will see a delay to Team Rumours? Not sure I can cope with that.

1/23/2020 3:51am This is a wild shot but I’ll shoot it. I followed the spesh team closely on Instagram as I’m sure a lot others did. One thing I did notice was around the time these event would have taken place, one of the riders in the circle made a pretty incognito switch from their previous supplement provider to rynopower. Graves and Rude already being Rynopower athletes amongst others. I wonder if said rider made the switch after these events unfolded. Rynopower has been pretty adamant that their stuff is clean and I’m no way could have come from them. Said rider...

1/5/2020 4:09pm Because race promoters then need to activate the course to WC standards for another few days and wear the cost of marshalls, medical, hire equipment etc etc. a WC race is hugely expensive with only a few actually turning a profit. The additional days would not be sustainable. The UK system where they often run a BDS event a week...

4/7/2019 4:07pm It's wild anyone would thumbs down this. Not all humans like pedaling a bicycle up a hill-most of us tuned into this site, DO like pedaling up. My daughter also enjoys the bike park (see, taking chairlift up) but despises climbing up any trail-anywhere. I swallowed my personal pride and had her ride with me on a Levo yesterday, I rode my acoustic bike---we rode further than ever yesterday, mom even bailed out along the way, but we had a friggin blast! So, yeah, whatever it takes to get some people to ride.

11/15/2018 5:20pm The number of randoms can vary at different events. Pretty sure that selection process for those is done by the testing authority, not the Governing body. (which in this case would be the French federation or UCI not EWS). Agree that the "randomness" may have changed but it is still up to WADA or CADF to finalise that list.

harwox Added a reply to Sam Hill Missing from Cycling Australia's 2017 Award Nominee List
11/14/2017 3:12am Doesn’t look good from the MTBA annual report released this afternoon. “On the national stage, Australia’s mountain bikers recorded some signi cant world-class results and a number or riders remain consistently high in the world rankings. Australia continues to be one of the leading DHI nations in the world. It was an Olympic year, and Daniel McConnell (ACT), Scott Bowden...

11/13/2017 2:32pm Pretty sure that the same thing happedned when Graves won the EWS. CA only look at UCI events. MTBA (Australias peak MTB body) run their own awards. They have an interesting relationship with Enduro so will be interesting to see where Sam ranks in that.
