Drivetrain and tires are still race run killers. The Vampire and Zerode with gearboxes are making a really solid argument.

Agreed that the Shockcraft Bomber CR kit is more plug and play if you are in the spring rate range (300#-500#). In general terms the feel is more controlled and muted compared to the FF kit. Still very sensitive, but just less "free" feeling. Possibly the result of it being fully checked where the FF kit still has a bleed. The Fluid Focus kit includes a range of compression and rebound tunes, and is great if you want to experiment with tuning and open the shock up multiple times. Ah that’s right, was that when everyone was at 142 and they stuck with 135? Then folks went to 157 and they went to 148? I sense a trend…

6/23/2026 11:25am On the flip side Frameworks bikes are a beautiful exercise in refining, exploring and taking the 4 bar design in making as uncompromised as possible. Both are awesome in there own way.

Went to a 'dirtbike' store and tried a bunch, wanted to check fit and coverage. Ended up with a moto/mtb Leatt 4.5, great rib coverage compared to others and fit is solid, stays in place. It does get hot in the summer so nice it's external and pops off easy.

as already mentioned, ION arcon chest is the best chesty in the game and it's not even close. I swear every other chest pro design in the industry doesnt believe riders have ribcages...
