Do I need a downhill bike ? No.
Did I build one because I got a really good deal on a Dorado ? Perhaps.
Do I love it ? Hell yeah.
Frame was bought used, couldn't pass on a rare chance to ride a made in France steel downhill frame. Rest of the build is targeting reliability and sticking to a reasonable budget.
