Well, the Pro GRT standings didn't seem to have any effect on the worlds team selection, which I'm sure Chris Heath, Kain, and Boice are bummed out about. So maybe talk to Gulickson about paying it some consideration next year. This would encourage at least a few people to drop the coin to travel. Additional prize money contribution for GRT...

Also, so much for the Pro GRT meaning anything, the top three men and the top woman were all passed over. Can't say I'm surprised.

Like I said I have to admit that Lopes will probably do better than a Keene or Sternberg or Heath, but I kind of doubt he will do well enough to get a result that anyone cares about. I may be wrong. I just think that if he wants to go to worlds he should have to actually show up and do some races like everyone else.

Dare I say I sense some thinly veiled criticism from Mr. McCaul, "time to do some more skidding", priceless. And I thought that guy was always stoked on everything. Spent my whole week in whistler wondering what they were thinking with the big red gap, looks as queer as a three dollar bill to me, can't wait to see if it actually works at all.

Brian Lopes? really? The sad thing is I have to admit he will probably beat the other guys who I can think of to fill that spot, given the lameness and pedally-ness of the course, but can we try to send someone who is less of a douche? Sternberg and Keene jump to mind. We basically have one guy who can get a really good finish and three more who can have a decent finish, the other spots should be used to develop up and comers (like joey), or to reward dedicated racers for good results. Who cares if Lopes...
