I knew that it was possible that you could install a dual crown fork on the YT Capra 27 and YT Capra 29, because the manufacture designed them to do so, and it seems to work very well.
Has this change of the Firebird 27.5 the same effects as a dual crown Capra 27? Also, is it possible to install a dual crown fork on the Pivot Firebird 29 too?

Sorry for the very late reply, yes I'm in the works of planning to build the FB29 with a dual crown fork.
On the side note, axle to crown height for 27.5 180mm fork is 569.1mm F40 27.5 200mm fork is 571.2mm.

It is okay if you delayed to reply. Understandable. I'll wait for the FB29 as a hybrid bike. Very curious to see how it looks with a dual crown fork. It is also prettier than the FB27.
Nice to know the heights of these two different forks too. One more question: how much heavier are the 29" wheels than the 27.5"? I know that the Carbon Fiber is lighter than the Aluminium, but in general how heavier is a 29" wheelset than a 27.5".
I've heard also that the 29" wheels are more suitable for the taller boys and girls that are above 1.80M or 1.90M. I am around 1.70M so I believe that the 27.5" wheels would be more than enough for my height. Perhaps I am wrong about that.
I like the looks of the bigger wheels, but somehow they make the entire bike to look quite small and if the frame of the bike is small.

Hi hey, there again. I wonder why I don't receive any notifications when there's a comment on my bike checks. Will have to sort that out.
I'm on a very basic aluminium wheelset, it weighs 2kg flat excluding tires and tubes. You may be able to achieve close to the weight when using lighter higher end aluminium rims for 29er set up.
Anyways, I have sold my frame and will be setting up FB29 with a dual crown fork. It will be 27.5 instead of 29er Park bike as I'm only 1.7m height.
I feel more comfortable riding park on a 27.5 than a 29er. Hope this helps buddy!
