DSD Liked a comment about Press Release Introducing The RUNT by Diaz Suspension Design
9/17/2019 11:15pm The RUNT would allow you to run even lower pressure, giving you a more supple ride. The new spring rate also returns the fork to the beginning softer part of the stroke faster than 0 tokens. This makes the fork much more supple as well without losing support. I do not believe you should use all your travel on a typical ride. What happens when something not typical happens? You overshoot a jump, come up short or misjudge a drop. I would shoot to have about 1-1/2 inches left over even after pretty big drops or jumps. That way when...

8/18/2019 1:27pm Ok same experience here but solved with redline likewater suspension fluid. Think its lighter than 2.5 too. Wouldn't worry about warranty, just pump with shimano stuff if you need to send it back

8/18/2019 1:16pm I'm currently running xtr 12sp rear mech with sram cassette and x01 shifter. Got rid of the sram because the type 3 clutch is garbage and not adjustable. Absolute game changer. For some reason I had to constantly fine tune the xx1 and it always skipped on the 4th cog. B tension set at sag. The shifting is more precise, and setup was easier with the 51t mark on the derailleur cage. Running with kmc chain too.

8/18/2019 1:09pm I've got 2 conflicting views here. Had a really bad experience last year racing the MT7s on the megavalanche. Virtually no braking from halfway down, completely cooked them. I only found out later the magura mineral oil has a boiling point of 120 degC! The levers are also terrible and I had them all including the hc3s. You actually lose some mechanical advantage with the hc3s too. With the shimanos the problem is with the viscosity of the mineral oil and the small master cylinder port. The oil simply can not return fast enough hence the variable bite point. Use...

Ihad quite high expectations of this stem before buying it. It looks great and the attention to detail in the machining is superb. However, it really is ahassle to attach to the bike and to the handlebars due to its two piece design. This would not be a problem if you never need to remove the stem, although packaging the bike for going on holiday in a bike bag highlights that a normal stem is infinitely easier to remove from the bike. The other downside to this stem is that it seems to twist on the steerer far too...

1/20/2019 11:24pm Sorry didn't see your comment. All 170mm fox 36s can be made into 180mm by adjusting internally. There is a peg on the top cap shaft to be moved down 10mm and a spacer to be removed from the neg air chamber.

4/9/2018 12:56pm Nice to see a legit tubeless DH casing tire. Not sure I'm willing to jump in at $90 a tire to see if I like them though.

12/23/2017 4:15pm I'm sorry but I'll never be able to trust any stoppers with the Avid/Sram logo on them. I bought a 4600€ bike which came equipped with Sram Guide brakes and they've been nothing but a headache since I first rode the bike. The seem alright after bleeding when coming out of the store, but as soon as I hit some more demanding trails, they just don't perform. The gap between the pads and the rotor becomes larger on every run down the track (getting to the point where the lever touches the grip) and as soon as they heat up...

11/18/2017 1:37pm I'd still be riding my bombers if the bike hadn't be pinched! Nice build sir. Had a zaskar with 97 bomber z1 bams, progressive coils both sides and custom damping.

human powered suicide machine Liked a comment about Feature Why Are E-Bikes Such a Touchy Subject in the U.S.?
11/13/2017 11:36am Yes, that's touchy and the more E-MTB I see, the angrier I'am. They might be fun (like kissing your cousin!) but they are wrong! I rode some and I even own one for commuting but still think they are the lamest fucking millenials bastard version of mtb! Sure they move quick going up but they kill the feedback you have from the terrain. Where is this holy exchange of energy between your muscle and the ground! It just feel like I got my challenge stolen when the motor kicks in. Now, what about going down? They are heavy and ride...

11/12/2017 12:00pm Gotta be a rim only option as they offer only boost at present. Missing a massive market without rim or normal options
