This tread is hilarious I’ve taken the stuff that boys got pinged for and it’s not even that good, a hard dose of caffeine, taurine and beta give you way more of a kick and they are all legal Yes they are banned and yes he got caught. Weren’t the substances totally legal the previous year? Everyone in the field could have been taking it in 15 & 16 and wouldn’t matter. Likewise I bet there’s a lot of people taking what’s legal now but next year would be classed as a cheat. He’s no Lance Armstrong and the stuff he was taking wouldn’t turn him into the Hulk. Yes it was on the banned list but I don’t think doping can be classed as black and white.

Smaller wheelsizes ride so much better. And the 29ers still aren't winning the series. Wth are we doing with these things? Get rid of the bitch wheels already.

I would like to disagree with your last point. Enduro is a much different sport than Road, there is a hell of a lot more skill, talent and bike tech required to do well in Enduro so most PED's have less of an effect on overall performance. It's a younger sport so there has been less time to build that upper-edge finding mentality, I was all over the place in my first few years trying to figure out how to be faster. So much to try and learn about the sport that supplements were the least of my worries. Anyways...

Eddie almost won EWS Rotorua on a 27.5 bike had it not been for a bizarre mechanical issue, so I don't think he's a great example. Fact is no one's results have actually increased over their expected results - guys like Luca Shaw moving onto Syndicate are expected to do well already, Jack Moir was already onto good results on the M16 last year before getting on the M29. Fact is Gwin on 27.5 and Minnaar on 29 are where they always have been, Bruni and Brosnan are still winning, and guys like Greenland and MacDonald are on bumper years...

Different bikes for different riders really, I don't like the way 29ers pedal up hills as they lack acceleration and have more rolling weight, and find them more cumbersome for my riding style. I'm a strong pedaler, and our trails range from XC to rough and aggressive DH, so for me a Capra is the perfect fit across the range. It sounds like your trails and riding may be different, so the SB5.5 might very well be a better bike for your needs. Having spent the weekend riding/racing on it, I can say the following: It's around the same on the climbs (which is a good thing), but much stronger on the downs, and accelerates better on the pedals. Not quite as 'poppy' yet easier to throw around, overall more confident of a bike. I got a personal record on every stage I rode, and was headed to my best race result ever before accidentally missing a stage. With more time it'll only be faster and easier to ride.
