Happy two-year anniversary. @jeff.brines got on the horn with @TEAMROBOT and I to discuss what's happened in the bike industry over the last two years. The podcast is below, but I can't thank all of you enough for such an incredible discussion. The knowledge and courtesy in this thread makes me proud to be involved with Vital, and as I say a few times in the podcast, this thread in particular has felt like receiving a free education. We all hope anyone who has lost a bike industry job in the last two years is back on their feet or...

Ah yes, those were 32” tires in disguise in that photo. Just remove the size marks and no one will notice! Those guys at Maxxis sure are clever 🤣

Hi Ryan, Great job validating my work! It’s really cool to see the numbers backing up the theory. Ideally, we would have done the 3D modifications and FEA first, then created the frame or modifications to match. Unfortunately, that wasn’t an option as I didn’t have access to the 3D tools or enough time. The first modification was done at Val di Sole. The track was super wet and rooty, and extra frame compliance and grip were needed—that’s when the hacksaw came out 😂. However, as you mentioned, modifying the link without simultaneously addressing the seat stay bridge meant the...

I'm usually not one to feed the trolls, but this has gotten silly. As far as cascade links go, I know people who have gotten legitimate performance out if them and changed the way they rode their bikes. I also know people who how gotten them because they want something shiney and cool and they had no business having that part on their bike because they didn't ride that hard. Some didn't even change their shock settings or remove any volume spacers and suddenly hated their bikes because they didn't understand what they were doing, how bike setup works or...

I like the Mega 27.5 & need to save up for one but price increases aren't helping my lil wallet. Heck, my pitiful 2018 Kona Process 153 is garbage except for the Nukeproof stuff hanging off it that I replaced the OEM stuff with. The 142mm Horizon V2 wheels have bought me 2+ years of bashing with only one tensioning the spokes 2 months ago. The Horizon pedals I've had for 4 years and all I've done is replace a few pins. The Nukeproof bolt on accesory strap that mounts to my poorly designed water bottle mount on the downtube...
