Hmmm I like Transition as brand, and I liked their TR450, but this new "from the ground redesign" looks pretty much like a generic taiwanese frame. Airborne is buying it to. I like the frame I just dont like the fact of many brands using the same frames it gives me the feeling they are cheap ... Why pay for a this transition bike when the same frame on the Airborne will be much cheaper!

One thing not mentioned in the article is the simplicity of DT's hubs. I have plenty of shop mechanic experience, and years of experience building custom homes, so I'm somewhat mechanically inclined--but there is just no denying the sheer simplistic genius of DT's rear hub/freewheel/bearing design and setup. It's truly a wheel that an average home mechanic could work on if need be, rather than having to take it to a shop, or in some modern cases, send it all the way back to the manufacturer for minor fixes on up. I applaud DT, in my humble opinion. I ride...

It sounds like they will with this helmet. They mention learning something from the Bell Full-9 which sounds like it is pretty high priced.

Durable? How long have you tried these wheelset? I agree DT Swiss makes light wheels, but they tend to last a season of abuse. For the price I would want some real years of abuse. I ride WTB laserdiscs 2008 and have never had a problem with them, yeas they are heavy perhaps, but I dont worry about them at all, and have not the need to spend between 600 to 1000usd on a new wheelset...

by David Howell Some say you only get one chance to make an initial impression. Well, Canfield Brothers nailed it with the Crampon Magnesium pedal. Sleek lines, a generously sized platform and super thin leading edges combine together to create one of the most attractive pedals I have had the chance to lay my eyes on. With the magnesium pedals coming in at around $200, they may not be cheap, but you get what you pay for. Been working with the Shaw family for the past couple years, some of the neatest kids i've worked with in 25 years of MTB racing. Top notch, no ego, smart, great kids.
