5'10 here. I go with whatever is closer to a 465mm reach and that seems to be ideal for me. I prefer to err on the bigger side and think I could go up 475mm with a shorter stem or maybe narrower bars. So your answer, I think, lies in reach, stem length, and bar width. Over the past several...
I have a bunch of 35mm bars of varying heights and stems so its what i stick with because i can try different configurations on my bike. I bought a used bike two years ago that had 31.8. It was fine. I think my only defining metric for bars is a 9° back sweep. I bought some 8° back-sweep bars...

"No risk of cavitation: high turbulent flow valves keep damping forces independent from viscosity and temperature changes to perfect pressure balance, eliminate aeration and cavitation, all with very low hysteresis to improve dynamic response" Damping forces are never independent from viscosity changes! Also I don't understand how you can call a 750€ shock affordable, that's expensive! Not being able to service it at home makes it even more expensive in the long run compared to RockShox and co

Things are moving. For the initial public release, we're going all-in on grassroots racing, the "Strava-like" activity tracking pirate ship will come later. From my point of view, grassroots racing is where the gap (and my passion) is, and it's where we can deliver something genuinely better from day one. The upside: Garmin integration ships with iOS/Android/web app launch. If we see the traction we're expecting, we can build all sorts of cool activity tracking stuff, but it just doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to start with that. Happy to answer questions. Cheers

Im curious if this is your experiences with mountain bikes only or all bikes. Ive got a gravel bike ive been meaning to list. Im hoping gravel is still growing and. I can fetch a decent deal in it. I let a friend borrow it last year and he put more miles on it than i did. Lol

I like to believe mine have changed and im spending less, but i think im probably spending the same. My high school kid is in a performing arts studio and those costs have skyrocketed this year. Plus theres college applications and high school senior costs. My increased salary this year is being eaten up by that. Blech. But also, upgrades...

I have a Capra AL (the lower of the AL models) on order right now. $2600 Shipped. Lyrik RC, Superdeluxe R, Code R, and SLX Drivetrain with e13 9-46 cassette. I was actually considering the Spectral for a moment. I prefer Shimano's drivetrain, but that Eagle was tempting. Lyrik is nice, but I've not had a problem with the Pike. The biggest differences to me came down to wanting 29" wheels. The 2nd was confidence in the sizing. With the Spectral I'm at the top of the medium range and bottom of the large range for recommended sizing. I like...

I mean, obviously, its not a super scientific test, but the common response in forums is to just lose that kg/lg of weight off your body instead. I'd be willing to bet that the single lb/kg off the bike will have more effect than a single lb/kg off your body. That said, in terms of percentages, losing it on your is going to be much better. Generally speaking, I associate losing that weight with also being more fit. So in effect, you're losing the weight, but also increasing your ability to do work. Put them together and you're off to...
