Daniel_Goss Added a comment about feature First Ride: New Fox Proframe RS Full Face Helmet

Ummm, Jason, you obviously weren't in the scene in '98, when Giro launched the Switchblade...Fox didn't even make helmets then...they didn't conceptualize this concept. I'm sure it wouldn't have passed ASTM F1952...but that standard wasn't created till years later. Cool helmet!

Jeff is one of the earliest reasons I got drawn into mountain bikes. His riding has always, and will continue to be been an inspiration and a motivation.

Onward and upward Jeff, you continue to get a LOT of people psyched on bikes.

That Durango shot was '04, that drop wasn't in the '01 WC. Wentz was nailing the 'Pink Panties' drop as big as anyone...

what's with all the "money exchanging hands" conspiracy theories over an award? half of the awards we've given over the years aren't even for products of brands that even advertise here. rockshox didn't even know they received this award until i published this video the other day. as for metric stuff not being out not out yet? it's on plenty of bikes you can get right now. https://www.sram.com/stories/rockshox-metric-shocks-bikes

Daniel_Goss Added a comment about feature Vital MTB Face Off: The Best Flat Pedals

11/18/2016 8:12am
I started riding BMX in '79, then racing in '84, and raced DH starting in '98, racing Pro from '02 to '12. I've obviously spent a large portion of my life riding flats. I definitely disagree with the DMR Vault, as there's no pins in the middle, where the ball of your foot and the most pressure rests. And I definitely don't agree with "concavity is king", I prefer a FLAT, flat pedal with pins in the middle, not just around the edges. The Vault isn't much different than the good BMX pedals from 25+ years ago, funny how you...

What about charging $5 for every live feed? Have that money go straight to rider safety and secondarily to better purses. Red bull gets to splash their logo on everything and we pay the riders something for their risk. Honestly, I'd feel better watching if I chipped in.

In my experience, 5mm in bottom bracket height or crank length can definitely make a difference on rocky trails. This is pretty similar.

"It doesn't even take advantage of the fact you could make a wider hub body and thus stronger wheel." Yet... Now you're thinking.

You have to use their hub, but Canfield has been doing a 9t for a while now. http://canfieldbrothers.com/components/9-tooth-rear-hub

I'm in love with Kaia. @Tim Wood. You seem to be a great dad to your dog with a lot of responsibility. Yes they are bred for exactly that reason and they are the most intelligent dog there is.
