Itried this fork, borrowed from a friend for a few weeks. I have a Velvet, he has a Slant. We both found the same thing, the fork is quite excellent on the trail but doesn't last we've had countless warranty issues. Somehow X-Fusion rushed their R&D or something and made a bunch of hideously unreliable extremely excellent performing forks. If you ride everyday, it's 1 star. If you have a specific race rig, then these will match up well with your Schwalbe Nobby Nic 5 ride racing tires and Crank Bros pedals. If you only have the time to...

2/13/2014 5:46pm
Reviewed by Steve Wentz and Brandon Turman // Photos by Shawn Spomer and Lear Miller New for 2014, the 140mm travel Norco Sight makes the leap from aluminum to carbon. In doing so they’ve reduced the frame weight by a whopping 25% and improved the ride characteristics. While the geometry remains the same, Norco did take the time to make a handful of minor updates. Combining the smooth lines of carbon, a dialed paint job and a little color coordination in the component spec, this bike truly is a sight to behold. In fact, we’d wager that it’s the best...

Pietermartizburg has never been a real WC level DH course in my opinion. It only makes sense to race a non DH bike on a non DH trail.

That's the bottom bracket height with an 150mm fork, I'm sure its not much of a difference though. A2C on the 160mm Pike 542mm I think

5/6/2013 4:59pm
Reviewed by Steve Wentz, Joe Schneider, and Brandon Turman // Photos by Shawn Spomer and Brandon Turman Introduced in 2011, the Cannondale Jekyll has a very fitting name given its two-sided personality. With the flip of a switch, the custom DYAD RT2 pull shock transforms the ride from a 150mm travel bump gobbling machine to one with just 90mm of rear travel and steeper angles ready to haul you back to the top for another run. Of the five models in the Jekyll lineup, the Jekyll MX was most inspired by the builds used by Cannondale's professional OverMountain enduro race...

Not sure if there is or not a little Specialized fanboyism in the review taking in account the weak points, but anyway I want this bike now.

I've had this bike about 7 months now and have done everything from 15 mile fireroad climbs to tight, technical descents, to hitting 20' doubles. It does everything very well - not just OK, VERY well... my major complaints are listed above, the biggest of which is the lack of a rear thru-axle on 2011 models, but this has been corrected for 2012. Also, the stock avid brakes will likely drive you insane with the amount of vibration they cause under hard braking. thats just me complaining though... overall this is easily the best all around bike I've ever owned...

Idon't specialize in one area of riding, but I have ridden for a long time. I've ridden and researched many bikes from HT 29er's to DH bikes. I climb up to ride down and favor more aggressive trail/AM riding. I have ridden everything from the White rim in a day to resorts and DH tracks. This bike does everything. While not a DH bike and not a XC race bike, it can do a little of both. It climbs amazingly well and makes riding so much fun coming down. This is my favorite bike I have ever ridden and...
