Welcome to the world of stitched parts. There's a balance between aesthetics and machine time that has to be struck so that you all don't have to pay more than you already do for the link. You tighten up those step overs and run time goes through the roof pretty quick. 0.005" step overs aren't free.

Hey Jeff! Weird that you would comment in response to my posts, but not actually reply to me or mention my name... but, since you're clearly speaking to me, I'm going to speak back to you. The point is not that "nothing [should ever be] offensive to anyone ever," the point is that it's in bad faith to keep knowingly offending after it is made clear to you that you are doing so. The point isn't even that you can't say or think words that might offend; it's probably just best not to use them to sell products or brand...

How is dropping the term going to hurt you? Its use hurts others, and it's not up to you to declare that it doesn't. Clearly, you just wish your viewpoint to be privileged over those of marginalized people. And yes, they are marginalized; the continued skepticism towards the wishes and desires of indigenous people is both cause and evidence of that.

7/1/2020 9:05pm Keep in mind the seat angle when climbing is very different to static due to sag. Think 35% sag on the rear and close to 0% on the front on a decent incline. Then add the variable of travel, and a 78° seat angle on a 160mm bike might sag back to 74° on a steep climb. Not sure there's...

😬 my bad. Spend so much time obsessing over frame details I get a little slap happy with assembly. A friend gave me shit about the line routing and I fixed it not long after the photo.

Thanks! I've designed a couple of bikes professionally, but the is the 3rd that I've fabricated myself. The black yolk that's inline with the shock is from Bikeyolk, the other 2 links are one offs I designed and had CNC'd.

Thanks for the compliments! I chose brazing for a few reasons. Firstly, setup costs are a lot lower, a good Tig welder plus argon purging setup for inside the frame isn't cheap. Secondly, brazing is a lot more forgiving to the new player (less damaged tubes), and I think is a lot faster to get "good enough" at. Thirdly, I find it distorts less than welding. Hope that helps and good luck with only dipping your toes and not falling all the way in!
