Krischan Spranz Liked a comment about Feature Vital MTB Face Off: The Best Dropper Seatposts
11/8/2017 12:49pm Great work Vital, what a great review! Just a shame that one of the newest dropper post concepts (using a dropper not as an afterthought, but rather as a structurally integrated member of the frame) did not find a place in this article, likely because it was not yet available when Vital commenced testing. If you do a repeat of this test in future please make sure you include the EightPins post from Austria: www.eightpins.at

10/26/2017 1:58pm Sweet, thanks boys. First of all, no matter which bike I'd get, I'm pretty committed to throwing a Float X2 on the rear, due to it's tune ability and consistency. Considering this, plus the threaded bottom bracket and a full size water bottle compatibility (the latter I greatly appreciate) on the HT LT vs the Yeti, would you still rank the Yeti ahead? Also, feel free to bring in other models in the same class of 29" mid-to-long travel steeds for comparisons sake, such as the YT as mentioned below, or an Intense Carbine.

10/26/2017 1:08pm Thanks for the thorough review, I've been looking for a solid one like this for quite a bit. Do you have any comments towards how the bike handles compared to other brands offerings? For example, the Norco Range, RM Instinct BC edition, and Yeti SB5.5c all seem like close competition.

8/25/2017 3:04pm @jeff.brines @bermsmasher The new bikes actually handle even better at low speeds than previous models. The idea behind "Speed Balanced Geometry" is that the bike's characteristics match the wheel speed. As such, at low speeds, it's quick and nimble, and at high speeds, it's stable. The new bikes achieve this in multiple ways, one way being the steeper seat tube angle. This keeps the riders mass up and forward on the bike, instead of sagging deep into the travel and being behind center on a steep climb. This keeps the bike from "wandering" while climbing. In addition, the short offset...
