6/2/2025 4:27pm what stood out to me for both of their runs was their corner speed was visibly faster than the rest, particularly Gracie, she let of the brakes and railed every corner on the lower sector. Was incredible commitment!

6/2/2025 4:08pm If you look at the youth in any developed country, they are getting taller. I'm 6'1 and every 18 year old male towers me in Australia it seems must be the chicken

5/30/2025 2:50pm I was an assegai front aggressor back dude for years, but something happened with the DD aggressor where punctures were too common, not even the big bacon bits could save them. Went back to a DD DH-R and all is well again. I liked the aggressor as it lasted forever and was fast rolling, but as above the side knobs...

5/29/2025 2:51pm i just want to make one last comment re: deleting pics, community etc then i'll be quiet. over the last few years, i've become very aware of how much of a privilege it is to be a part of a community that is supported by some of the best brands in our game. but the key word here is community...YOU all are the community. without you and your sleuthing, your knowledge, your stoke for the sport and its equipment, or your informed opinions, vital wouldn't be very special. with that said, if all vital does is bow down to brands...

5/28/2025 3:14pm this is my favorite topic hehe... heres my top 5. IYKYK #1 Derailleur Lockout - I made a video a while back on the "hall lock mod" no more b-tension slop, absolutely guarantee this makes your drivetrain last longer too. NEWER SRAM DERAILLEURS (mech/axs) NEED NO PARTS, just need to file down the aluminum spacer to 14.05-14.1mm. this one is #1 because it solves so many problems at once. chain dropping, cable suck (when suspension moves; cable is pulled through internal routing- mainly on santa cruz's) chainring wear, loss of confidence sprinting after a rough section etc... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IChC4h8WDkA see comments...

5/25/2025 2:23pm because your "midstroke" is likely a wall of progression too deep in the travel, going stiffer puts you in the more linear part of the curve, combined with open compression it could be your solution and a mistake many people make, a softer spring rate doesn't always equal a supple ride.

5/24/2025 3:08pm yep, I seriously love Hans, you know how they say never meet your hero's? Absolute opposite with him. Ran into him about 20km outside queenstown at a tiny pub and he was the nicest guy ever, we talked shit for easily 2 hours. Great guy and I hope he wears that GT cap forever. My MTB Hero.

5/24/2025 2:54pm yeah I'm not sure dude, I dropped the washer in the garage and it was never seen again lol But that bike (Dean Lucas 2014 Worlds Devinci Wilson) was like nothing else I have ever ridden (and I have had a LOT of bikes) It had the full NSR treatment while he was wrenching for devinci, when the local suspension...

5/22/2025 3:54pm somehow over the years through mates rates and beer economy my e-bikes whole drivetrain has ended up XTR, it's hard to explain but full XTR shifts like I imagine a Porsche 911 GT3 RS, where XT shifts like a DSG golf. Both excellent, but the XTR just has this wholesome bang into the next gear that gives me a mechanical...

5/22/2025 3:51pm I've bought a couple of ex WCDH bikes before, both had shims between the hub and the fork dropout. I wonder if that was for fork alignment. They were super thin, like .25mm feeler gauge stuff.

5/15/2025 3:14pm talk to me about facing brake mounts, imagine I know nothing about it (which is true lol) can it be done with a file and a calibrated eyeball or do you need special tools?

brash Added a comment about product review Freerider Pro BOA
5/9/2025 4:41pm Been waiting 10 years for this shoe to happen. I have a cache of runout specialized 2f0 roost shoes to get through though, they are excellent too. Stickier than the freerider IMO but laces and not as comfy off the bike as a freerider.

5/7/2025 2:30pm yeah I've thrown in Sawdust and kids glitter, not sure if it made a difference, but when I changed tyres it looked like I'd been at a strip club.
