Santa Cruz Nomad C- DVO 26' Custom 7
Parts
General Info
This old SC Nomad is a replacement frame from busting my previous bike.
A mate loaned it to me to ride for summer. It was spray can red so i built my parts onto it and had a test ride, on the inside i was frothing, always wanted a nomad. It has the Push link in the shock and holy shit the first ride was awesome. I told my mate i'd skin him if he doesn't let me keep it. I sold a bunch of old parts, sorted a deal with buddies at NS Dynamics for a DVO package and got sanding to prep it for the spray pack satin black. Some mates cut the SC stickers, replaced bearings and presto... 'new' frame!
This is honestly the most fun 26' mid travel bike i've built... The DVO is simply amazing.
Another standout is the hubs from Onyx Racing. They are dead silent and the ceramic bearings are holding up to my local trails at Mt Buller (Rocky, fast and dusty mostly).
This build isn't meant to stand up to a 27.5 bike but for a thrasher i'm 100% stoked on it.
Cheers to www.nsdynamics.com.au for the help getting the suspension dialled, Zelvy for a good wheel deal and to my mate Vincent for the 'loan' of his old SC frame.
Hope you all like it.
