Women: Winter Bush follows up a 4th place finish in Juniors at the UCI World Champs last month with a win by almost 2.8 seconds over 2nd place Daisy James.
Men: Connor Knipscheer takes the win by 0.98 seconds over Luke Mallen.
Also, the SR Suntour Holeshot Award of $500 goes to the man and woman who have the fastest first sector. (It looks like Aletha Ostgaard wins that this year.)

It looks like Aletha had a smoking first split, bummed that the rest of the run didn't work out for her. Asa: He finally wins the top splits, but doesn't win the race?!
...It sure looks like this race was full of surprises!
Aletha had a really scary scorpion crash on the rock gap drop into the berm. She was down for a while, seemed like she got the wind knocked out of her. I was honestly surprised she eventually got back on and finished up.
Ana crashed in the same spot, got off easier but ended up through the tape below the berm.
Skelton came up a little short and exploded her rear tire.
The vibez were off the charts in the chute. Photos/videos don’t even do it justice. I hope the racers had a good time cuz we sure did in the crowd. Bummed we don’t have any masters bros, Moi Moi, etc content tho

Would like to see who ran what tires. When things get that loose around here, Maxxis Shorty's. But that's kind of approaching the extreme loosey goosey of dry setup. Which that looked like from vids on Friday. Soo....Plus no rain? I can imagine trying to find the grip....
Wow, that looks so harsh. Tough young woman, though. She'll be back, hopefully for more wins in October. Gotta love her competitiveness. She smoked the other ladies in the top split.

Race was super fun as a spectator. Kids had a great time.
May not be the best track but some more Rocky Mountain/West coast races where you get to see top riders is awesome.
