If I close the tab, every time I open the site, the captcha appears. I’m on whatever the stock web browser is for Apple. Same one I’ve used forever.
Why the postal code and city are mandatory fields in personal information? What is the purpose of collecting such information?
its usually when accessing mobile, at the beginning of the visit. after a break, i then need to reenter a captcha, sometimes as soon as 20-30min after the last login
You may have noticed that this info is displayed in the forum and on a user's profile. We think this gives other users context and can help build community on the site. If you're not comfortable with sharing that info, you can put whatever you want in those fields (we don't verify it).
plz use a different way to keep bots away, the captchas are fucking annoying
Not sure what the status with notifications is like, but if I click 'subscribe to notifications' button under a topic, I don't get them. Revisiting the topic shows I'm still subscribed. I think if I reply, I get the notifications.
Are you saying that you're not receiving on-site notifications, emails, or either? In your Manage Notifications settings, you have My Subscriptions set to only receive on-site notifications, so you wouldn't receive emails.
I'm talking about email notifications. I mostly get emails if I reply to a topic. If I only click subscribe, I don't get them.
EDIT: I see the setting now, changed it to have it on e-mail as well.
Interesting that there are only 5 threads in the subscribed list, the ones I didn't reply, but I clicked to notify me of new posts. For all the other threads where I'm active, where I'm also subscribed (at least the button at the end of the thread says so) and am receiving the e-mails, those threads are not on the list.
I'm unable to update my personal information because in order to save the changes on that page, I need a valid phone number. Why do I need a valid phone number? Can I please not need one?
FWIW I'm starting to get captchas too since this morning.
