There should be quite a few here that know of Ridemonkey. It has historically been a treasure trove of tech information and racing discussions. Folks such as Dave Weagel, Vorsprung Steve, and many other industry leaders got their start in those forums. Didn't @sspomer used to work there?
RM is set to be shut down and lost forever, but there is hope for saving it.

Act quickly and send some $ their way if you can to free the site from corporate control and save it's place in mountain bike history. There is so much information and history in those forums, especially in terms of frame design and suspension tuning. Don't let it be lost forever.
I’ve been posting there for over 20 years, would hate to see it die. I’m already in for a contribution, I think the guy coordinating the offer to buy just needs to know if you can help and what you can contribute for now. I assume he’ll take that offer to the owners, and if they accept then we’ll send funds. Right now it’s all via private message on Ridemonkey, I’ll ping him to see how folks that don’t have an account over there can contribute.
iykyk.
The Monkey is safe!
Thanks to all who helped.👍
Now go and enjoy.
If anyone wants a real trip, look up HCOR . net on the wayback machine....
Today I learned that https://nsmb.com/ still exists. Also yeah, thanks to everyone / anyone who helped out saving Ridemonkey. Many appreciates.
My buddy Brady bought all the hcor servers from John and relocated them(they were a physical thing) but then lost them in a fire. He recovered all the text data but the photos are gone forever.
It’s a real bummer, message boards used to be such a rad hive of barely-mediated expression and experiences.
Instead of using algorithms to identify topics that drove people crazy, we had to do it the old fashioned way.
if you care, it's alive again. f u lizards!

THE MAN is trying to keep us down!
