historically if there's an XC race too, there will be no Q2 show. there is an XC race this weekend, so don't get hopes up.
Junior's might have pushed a little more expecting this to be their finals if they are canceled tomorrow???

Heard conditions at start of Q1 were pretty bad for some top guys & it got a bit less grueling as time went on.
Q2 guys are already posting times faster than Breeden's 20th place 4:06 & we've got something like 40+ guys to go.
got a note that said there will be a women's q2 rerun after men's q2.

Ummmm....Max Hartenstern just went over FIVE seconds faster by Sector 2 than Jackson & Luca & sits almost SEVEN seconds faster than all of Q2!!!!

I'm wondering what's gone wrong for Danny Hart this year. This is the 4th time in 7 races he's failed to qualify for the finals. For a Danny Hart fan like me, this is making me sad.
finn missing show by .017 and danny by .165 - so nuts how close it is.
not the whole q2, but a single rerun i'd imagine.

So how did Max H teleport ahead of Jackson & Luca (2nd & 3rd) by a FULL 5 seconds between split 1 & 2?
I can't remember a margin that big ever. Even discounting a 7 second gap to 2nd at the end, I'm confident in saying that isn't humanly possible to gain 5 seconds in the 1st 2 minutes of a track in World Cup.
I'm guessing Finn's team is sprinting to the officials to check the video of Max leaving the gate & crossing the line if there are no course marshalls calling down indicating a course cut (which would be impossible to gain 5 full seconds anyway).
so curious to know too! thought it was a timing error when watching LOL
Probably not a coincidence the live timing site is down. If what Reliable Racing told me years back is still the safety check, there is a video camera synced with the start & finish line clocks to double check for error.
Anyone got the weather forecast for race day?

this year live timing page has gone blank once the PDF results are posted. so it's not really down.
I always connect to live timing through UCI's web site. I can't recall it ever having problems.
The link is below. You can use it for any race this season and can also look at results from prior years back to 2017.

maybe i was confused b/c https://prod.chronorace.be/angular/results.html#/uci/event/20250821_mtb/DHI/CG1 works just as it should. the results used to show up directly though. now you have to click "results" tab which i may not have realized.
On the UCI site, if you click "Results" (or "Start List") it wants you to download the PDF. If you don't want a PDF the Live Timing link will take you to the results as they appeared during the race. Navigating their site is a bit quirky, but once you're used to it it's pretty useful. It just takes a while to get used to, though.... the whole UCI site is, I think, kind of a mess.
