side note: my brother is a PA at a concierge doctor’s office in LA and David Coverdale is a patient. He wouldn’t tell me what Coverdale came in for but I’m sure it was a rash from a blousey shirt or whatever. (That’s a whole other issue, that my brother was like “oh oh I have a secret” but then couldn’t go further because he had sooooo much integrity lol)

I'm wondering what's gone wrong for Danny Hart this year. This is the 4th time in 7 races he's failed to qualify for the finals. For a Danny Hart fan like me, this is making me sad.

So how did Max H teleport ahead of Jackson & Luca (2nd & 3rd) by a FULL 5 seconds between split 1 & 2? I can't remember a margin that big ever. Even discounting a 7 second gap to 2nd at the end, I'm confident in saying that isn't humanly possible to gain 5 seconds in the 1st 2 minutes of a track in World Cup.
I'm guessing Finn's team is sprinting to the officials to check the video of Max leaving the gate & crossing the line if there are no course marshalls calling down indicating a course cut (which would be impossible to gain 5 full seconds anyway).

On the UCI site, if you click "Results" (or "Start List") it wants you to download the PDF. If you don't want a PDF the Live Timing link will take you to the results as they appeared during the race. Navigating their site is a bit quirky, but once you're used to it it's pretty useful. It just takes a while to get used to, though.... the whole UCI site is, I think, kind of a mess.

historically if there's an XC race too, there will be no Q2 show. there is an XC race this weekend, so don't get hopes up.

Heard conditions at start of Q1 were pretty bad for some top guys & it got a bit less grueling as time went on.
Q2 guys are already posting times faster than Breeden's 20th place 4:06 & we've got something like 40+ guys to go.
got a note that said there will be a women's q2 rerun after men's q2.

I always connect to live timing through UCI's web site. I can't recall it ever having problems.
