Turns out dead on with 160mm cranks. I mean absolutely bang on! The post is slammed as far as it can go, and the saddle is EXACTLY  where I need it, match made in heaven!

You obviously have a lot longer legs than me.  How do you like the 160mm cranks?  I'm 5'8" with 31" inseam to the floor.  I've been running 170mm cranks (road, xc, trail) for a looooong time and 165mm on gravity.  I recently tried 165mm on my XC bike and just didn't like it.  I found myself shifting gears a lot more to make up for the perceived reduction in torque.  Maybe more appropriate on a bigger travel bike?

I appreciated the mechanical advantage 175mm cranks have, but prefer the smaller and more consistent circle of the 160s. Injuries and age also pushed me towards short cranks. And they do feel appropriate to the overall burly build of my HT.
