Hello Vital MTB Visitor,
We’re conducting a survey and would appreciate your input. Your answers will help Vital and the MTB industry better understand what riders like you want. Survey results will be used to recognize top brands. Make your voice heard!
Five lucky people will be selected at random to win a Vital MTB t-shirt.
Thanks in advance,
The Vital MTB Crew
DH is the same in both cases, you have a course, you're flying down the mountain. Either on skis or on a bike. Okay, ski racing also has Super G, GS and Slalom, which MTB doesn't have.
Ski racing has skiercross, just as fourcross on bikes.
You have cross country racing both with bikes and with skis.
You have slopestyle competitions and freeride tours.
The most glaring difference is in the enduro world, but there are also ski touring competitions out there.
The audience size is a different thing, but the formats themselves are very similar and witht he correct marketing MTB could reacha similar audience as ski racing. And cycling is a growing sport as well.
Mark Scott mentioned the Santa Cruz enduro dream team. Anyone know if this is a new team or existing Nomad riders?
What's Jacob Dickson swingin a leg over next year?
If I want to read/talk about skiing/Audi I read a fucking newspaper.
...oh and please do not forget about KTM - there should be a new thread for that too.
Mark Scott is the most interesting entry I´ve read today - keep ´em coming as long as it is mtb´s and not cars, skiing or even xc-skiing ;-)
For every trail network created last year, there's almost the same being bound in restrictive legislation against Mountain Bike in the US.
2015 Television Coverage? Don't hedge bets on some irregular TV airtime.
What is growing is erratic, inconsistent componentry standards and, MSRP.
Missy Giove riding for Bong Shed Blueprint Co.
After the last interview with Gwin and also the one with Hall I doubt they'll seperate considering they got quite a good thing going.
C'mon Gwin! Put us out of our misery!
New Rumor. Trek bought The Athertons, Gwin and Bruni! World domination! In the future we'll be saying "Looks like a Trek rider."
Although I'm still in the "Audi seems unlikely to get in bed with DH" camp.
Edit: I suppose the clue might lend itself more to Audi sponsorship of the 23 EWS team and not a new DH team.
Whiteley starting an enduro/dh program with a new frame sponsor, audi as a sponsor too?
Enduro would seem more likely for audi to hop on, but with the separate schedules and crossover of racers, why not put a foot in both disciplines?
