Klokan, I see what you're saying but you might be looking in the wrong direction for what you want. Specialized did a few things with an engineer introducing the new bikes and it was incredibly informative. I'd prefer to learn about the new Devinci from Weagle or somebody at Devinci rather than Steve.

This is not a criticism of Stevie Smith but directed at gravity riders and racers generally. It's just that it reminded me of something I've been thinking about for a long time. When are we going to see a bike check where something more is said than; "I'm just stoked to be riding for...x" "This part is; sick, wicked, pimping, dialed etc"??????
Maybe I'm wrong in my perceptions and I'm the only one out there that wants to know more about the bike than the fact that it is "sick". Could it be that this is the only kind of product validation the market is after? Seriously though, can someone give these guys a hand with some full sentences and some information about what they are actually riding.
For example: "Devinci have teamed up with Dave Weagle to use the split pivot design on their bikes, the spit pivot allows Devinci to tune the shock leverage rate and allows the suspension to work while braking for better traction. It also allows them to keep production costs down because it utilises more traditional tubing profiles in the swingarm as opposed to more exotic tubing profiles on other designs which require specific molds etc" I know that doesn't explain everything about the split pivot but at least it gives riders some idea of what advantages it gives out there on the trail.
What do you guys think?

Devinci may have had spanish riders last year, but i dont get it now, unless Stevie speaks Quebexican?
