I'm not going to argue about whether there should be 4x or not. Personally I like watching it on freecaster and doing the odd race. I would, however, like to contest the point in the press release about having no warning that the discipline was going to be axed. It is common knowledge in Australia that the discipline was in its last year. No new tracks are being built and the Australian Federation had abandoned the discipline because they knew the UCI were going to drop it. This is not a criticism of Stevie Smith but directed at gravity riders and racers generally. It's just that it reminded me of something I've been thinking about for a long time. When are we going to see a bike check where something more is said than; "I'm just stoked to be riding for...x" "This part is; sick, wicked, pimping, dialed etc"??????
