Ihave the 2009 remedy 7 which was more expensive than this years, i used it for Bike park riding and some downhill, and XC riding now that it's not breaking all the time it works pretty well for everything even though im getting a new DH bike, There are better all mountain bikes out there that are cheaper and work just as well like the Marin Attack Trails try a bunch and see what you like

The perspective of a Joe Bloggs rider: It's hard trying to give a unbiased review of the bike. I'm sure 99% of people who have spent a large amount of money will recommend what they bought to someone else, purely I guess to justify money spent. I'll try and give you as many facts as possible. After a year's worth of use, the bike is in absolute top notch condition. Linkages, bearings, pivots etc are all sweet. The stickers and decals are peeling here and there, but that's it. Iran the suckas for years...before a nut on the spindle finally cracked. I replaced the bearing a few times. They went from my main bike to my loaner. The are a little high profile in the pedal world now but still relevant. They have been around for so long a lower price would be a welcome feature. I was always able to get parts quick, any Bell helmets dealer can get you the goods.

they feel great i had a set i got from a friend that he had abused em for about 2 years on DH and other hard forms of riding then i took from him and rode dirt and park for about 12 months which they went well. Whilst i had these they were only the unsealed bearings and then i went out and bought sealed which was incredible as they still feel brand new

Fantastic choice for a do-it-all-in-one-bike scenario. With a light build it can deal with AM riding (although a bit too short for a good pedalling position), with a heavy build it is a full-on FR rig. Dialled geo, real fun to ride. Great jumper, can take lots of abuse. Deals with DH as well, although it is nor as slack nor as low as a full-on DH rig, so a bit more tiwtchy through the rough. Buy it if you have outgrown your enduro/AM bike, but still want something you can manage some pedalling

For the kind of loot they charge for these you can get a nicer, more serviceable product from a rider-owned company.

Itook these out and the body broke in half on the first ride. If all you care about is weight, great. If you care at all about durability or safety, look elsewhere.

Irun these brakes for dh. Hydros are such an expensive pain in the ass. These things work so well there is no reason to pay more.
