DSD runt--how you liking it? whats the benefit so far
how are you liking how this bike pops? how does it handle tight switchbacks//tech trail moments
I'm about to get the 27.5 version

-The bike rides beautifully. For a 29er with 170mm front and 165mm rear, it handles like a 27.5. The SuperBoost 157 rear spacing keeps it stiff and compact feeling.
The frame actually rides best with linear air shocks like the Fox X2 or Super Deluxe w/ MegNeg or of course coil shocks. It is honestly a very balanced bike that does it all for me. Very plush always active suspension that rides like a trophy truck, but light weight with great lateral stiffness that makes pedaling and climbing super efficient at the same time. This bike is meant to take on any trail condition and keep going reliably.
-DSD RUNT is a situational item for me at the moment. It is simply a high quality, better functioning, fully customizable volume reducer. I weigh about 75 kg or 165 lbs. So depending on the conditions of the descents where I am riding I will adjust both the RUNT’s air pressure and the forks air pressure accordingly to obtain the appropriate amount of support in my forks air spring. When I feel like I don’t need the RUNT, I take it out. It reduces the drastic spike you get from normal volume reducers and provides a more linear feel as you approach bottom out. If the RUNT is left at 0psi, then it acts just like 1.5 volume reducers.
Another way to describe the RUNT is that it functions like an adjustable Bump-stop designed for air sprung suspension.
I am glad that I own the RUNT mainly because it gives me a lot more opportunity to dial in my front suspension as needed to meet the demands of any trail I ride.
