Epic build. I have a few gen 3 nomads, that has got to be some really tight rear tire clearance with a 2.6 DHR II.

I cant believe those are exo+ 2.6 tires! High volume but much lighter duty than most people ride enduro or DH on. Amazed they can handle such huge drops without folding. Curious if he has tire inserts or what pressure hes running.

Our WT tires are designed around 30-35mm rim widths. That means they’re ideally suited to those widths, not that they won’t work on narrower rims. We developed WT tires because of the trend toward wider rims in the market. As a world class athlete, Troy’s needs/demands on his equipment is much different than yours or ours.

@ccolagio - exactly what B.Radly said. Everyday riders started running 30+mm rims and our 2.3 and 2.4 width - and even old 2.5 - tires would end up too squared off. The side knobs would be on top of the tire which isn't ideal for cornering. It was a major undertaking to switch to WT as it required re-engineering our current treads and cutting entirely new molds for them. Narrower rims are generally lighter and our tires still perform well on them (see any WC DH or EWS podium for proof) which is why many pros run such setups. Hope...

That is not a climb switch. That is a 3 position High Speed Compression Lever. Instead of a huge range of clicks for HSC that shock just uses a 3 position lever. It works very well!
