GNAR_BikePark Liked a comment about Feature What's Out and What's In - Mountain Biking in 2016

Just realised I follow the Clown, the Kook and the Munchers and also realised why the hell their content always looks so familiar....#Unfollowed. In an addition to the What's Out - Bitchy Attitudes: We're all grown assed adults who spend money on specific equipment to enable us to do wheelies, jumps, skids and generally remind our tired asses of how rad it was being eight years old. I'd like to see MTB in general, taken a whole lot more on the face value of what it actually is.

ssbike Liked a product review They sing like cicadas

Ihad been hearing about these wheels from the local shop guys for months. I'd heard the talk of mutiple pawls, the lightweight, stiff build, increased contact points, added bearings, and the song of those pawls ratcheting as they blazed down the trail behind me, goading me to ride faster to escape the buzz, like a group of cicadas shaking off their skins. So when I got an offer to demo them for myself, I jumped at the chance. I decided to head out to a series of local trails with lots of technical climbing that would present the perfect...

If you have not encountered the Mavic welded seam rattle it is just a matter of time. I ran mavics for a long time but got sick of them cracking along the eyelets. Danny Mckaskil has run atomlabs for years because of their durability.

Vegas Jekyll Rider Added a comment about product review Haven Carbon 27.5" Wheelset

I can't believe that there is a $2200 wheelset that only has 30 points of engagement. Why lace a low performance hub to an expensive piece of carbon?

Carbon this and carbon that. It wasn’t long ago that a. carbon wasn’t available for your bike unless you were Donald Trump, and b. nobody in their right mind would trust the stuff on critical parts anyway. Fast forward to today, and the fantastic plastic is everywhere. From the frame to the wheels, your bike can drop weight faster than a bimbo in beach season thanks to this light weight and highly tunable magic material. Race Face is among the companies pushing the carbon boundaries, their Sixc and Next SL cranks a benchmark in the drivetrain market for example. Naturally...

Vegas Jekyll Rider Added a reply to Only one w/out dropper post????!!

I rode for 20 years without a dropper post, but I never changed my seat height. If you are someone who lowers their post before the downs than get a dropper. I have had mine for about 2 years now and I use the crap out of it. It is heavier but it sure does add to the fun level...
